Looking to stand out while honing your inner feline reactions?
Is a cat, bunny, or bear your inner beast?
Never quite found that perfect headset that accentuates those more animalistic tendencies you have?

Look no further than the Razer Kraken Kitty. Available in black (Standard Edition) and pink (Quartz Edition).

Tech Talk

The Kraken Kitty V2 Pro is a wired headset that packs a punch, or a scratch?
The Kraken Kitty headset RGB syncs with Razer’s very own Chroma, allowing you a vast range of customizable lighting options, even allowing you to set the RGB to react to stream through the Razer Streamer Companion App.
For those users who see the Kitty Edition of the beloved Kraken headset as a fashion accessory as well as a game-changing headset, the Kitty Edition also has a cosplay mode which allows the wearer to choose a preset RGB colour while plugged into a power bank.

The Razer Kraken Kitty comes with a set of (yup, you guessed it) kitty ears attached to the headband but your options are not limited to cat ears as the ears are interchangeable and the headset comes with a set of bunny and bear ears to change up your style. And yes, they are all totes adorbs! (I think I said that right?)
If pink is not your vibe, the Kitty V2 Pro is also available in black with Razer Green accents.

The sound delivered through the Kraken Kitty V2 Pro is impressive and definitely doesn’t shy away from doing its task. Razer has made sure that the TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers match in power what the headset shows in appearance, a headset born to stand out in the crowd.
Speech clarity is also remarkable with all vocal cues being picked up by a detachable Razer HyperClear Cardioid Microphone.

The headset fits comfortable on head with cooling gel-infused cushions on the earcups that are made from a mix of heat-transfer fabric, memory foam and leatherette.
The headset is a bit weightier, with the cat ear configuration weighing in at almost half a kilo (about 400g). This will change slightly depending on which ears you have on, or if you even have ears attached at all.

For you number nuts – here is what the official Razer website weighs them up at.

Even though the Kitty Edition of the Kraken is a bit heftier than its brethren Krakens, it is still comfortable on head and can be worn for long periods of time quite comfortably and with minimum fatigue.

Experience

I was able to use the Razer Kraken Kitty V2 Pro – Quartz Edition for a couple of weeks.
Personally – once the shock factor of the pinkness and earness (claiming it) had worn off, the Kraken Kitty really impressed me with its solid sound deliverance and crisp and clear voice reception.

Admittedly – I did only wear the head with the kitty ears but I did take the bunny and bear ears out of the box with every intention of trying them out, but I never got there.
My daughter (who is currently 3 and obsessed with all things pink) came into the room and very excitedly proclaimed her love and adoration for the headset and then asked if they were hers. That was a tough parenting moment to navigate – so thanks for that Razer.

As previously mentioned, the Razer Kraken Kitty does pack a mean punch in the audio department and is very EQ’able through the Razer Synapse program. This program is also what allows you to adjust your RGB settings and really have some fun playing with the “pre-built” RGB settings, or creating your own custom light shows.

Because the headset is compatible with the Razer Chroma software, it means that the Kraken Kitty can fit in with the rest of your Razer Chroma-compatible devices and your RGB sync-up can really make your set-up come to life (if a pink headset doesn’t liven it up enough).
Unfortunately, my set-up is pretty plain and black and the pinkness of the Razer Kraken Kitty did stick out but don’t think you need a full pink set-up to subdue the feline pink headset. With a few adjustments to RGB and decor choices, the Quartz Edition of the Kraken Kitty V2 Pro will be a great addition to your setup, both in performance and aesthetic.

A big thank you to Apex Interactive SA for letting us play around and experience the almost feral glory of the Razer Kraken Kitty V2 Pro – Quartz Edition.
