ASUS ROG Certa-Review

With mobile gaming becoming more popular by the day, it was only a matter of time before the biggest gaming brand in the world would cater to these audiences as well.

The ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Cetra True Wireless gaming headphones are their first-ever true wireless in-ear gaming headphones. Compared to other similar in-ear headphones, these deliver a much more immersive in-game audio and music experience for any type of situation.

To ensure gamers are treated to an immersive experience, the headphones feature ASUS’s Hybrid Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) technology. This is very helpful in noisy environments, where the ROG True Cetra Wireless treats users to an immersive audio experience, whether they’re listening to music or gaming.

Another feature is the low-latency wireless performance, which allows one to experience completely synchronized audio-visuals in competitive gaming. Most other Bluetooth wireless headphones can sometimes lose synchronization between the onscreen action and in-game audio. So this is a definite game changer for many!

In terms of audio quality, the ROG Cetra True Wireless features specially tuned 10 mm ASUS Essence drivers and airtight chambers to provide a rich, clean sound in the mid-and high-frequency ranges. For an in-ear set, they also have a surprisingly powerful bass which delivers a more true-to-life audio experience.

Battery life is exceptionally well for such a small piece of tech. With the ROG Cetra True Wireless users can enjoy 5.5 hours of use on a single charge, with the bundled charging case providing an additional 21.5 hours of listening time, giving you a total of up to 27 hours of total battery life. The charging case can be charged via USB-C or a compatible wireless charger.

Water resistance:

The headphone also has an IPX4 rating and is splash-resistant, allowing users to use it rain or shine. Giving some piece of mind that your favourite new tech will be working great for years to come.

The ROG Cetra True Wireless gaming headphones are available in South Africa from all leading ASUS retailers and stockists.
